Head of AI for 109 countries at Microsoft

Tomaž Valjavec started his career as a web developer and programmer. Later, as a consultant at Deloitte, he led projects in IT audits, SOX compliance, forensics and IT risk consulting. For the past decade, he has worked at Microsoft, where he first led Office 365 deployment projects, and in recent years has focused on the Azure cloud and artificial intelligence field. Today, he leads the field of artificial intelligence for the region of Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which covers 109 countries. He collaborates mainly with large companies and the public sector in the design, implementation and control of artificial intelligence projects, with the aim of improving business processes. His experience spans a variety of industries — from banking, insurance, manufacturing, logistics, energy to commerce — where he helps organizations achieve concrete results using modern technologies.
